The “Main Bazaar” is the best place to get some souvenirs. Favourite Sarawak buys include beadwork, basket weavings, wooden cravings and hand-woven rugs, likewise tribal batiks. There’s a clutch of galleries, selling well-executed pottery and ceramics as well. Sarawak’s arts scene tends to impressionism, and there are several ateliers in town as well.
